Currently seeking volunteers for: - Secretary / Project Manager / Data Research support / Social media support / Business Champion Engagement officer / Ally/Community group Engagement officer

 

Plastic Free Ashford (PFA) is a volunteer group working to achieve accreditation from Surfers Against Sewage as one of the UK’s ‘Plastic Free Communities’. To do so, we need the support of Ashford’s residents, businesses, and schools. PFA has a lot of exciting projects in the pipeline and we are therefore looking for new members to join the group. No specific experience is required however we are looking for volunteers with a can do attitude, positive thinking, keen to learn, can invest at least an hour a week to the cause and feel passionate about reducing single use plastic.

Fareshare Kent are currently looking for new people to volunteer with them. It can be a really rewarding experience getting to know other people, gaining skills and supporting a really worthwhile organisation.

The role includes being part of a warehouse team, sorting through the surplus food deliveries that come into the depot and then picking and packing orders to deliver on our vans to charities all over the county. They also have admin, driver and porter roles too!
