Kent Catholic Schools’ Partnership is a multi-academy trust of 24 catholic academies across Kent. The Trust was founded in August 2012 by the Archbishop of Southwark and has gone from strength to strength since its creation comprising of over 9,500 pupils and 1300+ employees.
The Trust is seeking two non-executive directors with experience in finance and/or audit who is willing to travel to Kent for Board and Committee meetings.
Board meetings are held at our offices in Barham Court, Maidstone six times per year. Board Committee meetings are also held at the Maidstone office four times per year. We are looking for the non-executive director to be able to commit to attending the Board Meetings and the Finance & Resources Committee Meetings.

Trustee/Non-Executive Director Trustees – or non-executive directors – are both charity trustees and company directors of the Trust. The core functions of their role are;
- to ensure of vision, ethos and strategic direction;
- to hold executive leaders to account for the educational and financial performance of the Trust.
Every Director is expected to abide by the Trust’s code of conduct and the seven principles of public life set out by Lord Nolan: selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership.

Finance: Ideally a qualified accountant, candidates should have experience of financial management from a commercial organisation or an academy/multi-academy trust.
Ultimately the role could develop to become Chair or Vice-Chair of either the Finance & Resources Committee or the Audit Committee.
