Wheels of Time is a partnership of museums and heritage sites in Kent developed to promote education in history and heritage among young children.
This purpose is achieved by running a scheme to encourage children, between the ages of 5 and 11, and their families to visit museums and heritage sites in Kent by running a scheme to encourage children,
offering badges as an incentive to visit multiple sites. As a further incentive, award badges are given to children who collect 10, 20, 30 and all 40 site badges.
The Scheme is free to participating children but normal entry fees to those sites that charge them do apply.
Parents have told us:
“This is a genuinely awesome scheme.”
“This a really great initiative for Kent”
The Scheme is managed by a small group of representatives from member sites, selected at the Annual General Meeting, known as the ‘Core Group’. Major decisions are made at a General Meeting, normally held annually, to which all members are expected to send a representative and at which each member’s representative is entitled to vote.
