Company Description

CROP is a charity established in 1994, providing a volunteer led home visiting service, delivering  advocacy, information, advice and guidance to older people (55 plus) within local communities of West Kent, Eastern/Coastal and Ashford/Shepway.

The service is delivered through a team of 40 plus dedicated and trained volunteer advocates who will visit an older person in their own home to help with for example benefits.  A lot of older people who need benefits are being put off applying as they don`t know where to start.  At CROP we make the process simple, working with an older person to navigate through the benefit system and fill in the appropriate forms.  We ensure an older person has knowledge of their rights and entitlements and to stay well, self-manage their own affairs and remain independent.
